Also it looks good on a battle rifle like an AR and its cheap. Wood is less durable, scratches more easily, cracks and swells, and is expensive.The FAL aint the Space Shuttle. You can pretty much get by with pouring bacon grease on it, and call it good. There is enough recoil and violently-moving parts that the grease/oil will get slung around until it coats enough of the pieces that need a coating.
